My name is Julie, and I am a dental nurse.
I started off working in an orthodontic practice in 1999, obtaining my NEBDN in 2000. I joined the Coppull practice initially in 2003 part-time. After the birth of my son, I took a break in 2006 to go to university and came back in 2018 and have been working here ever since.
The part of the job I enjoy the most is reassuring nervous patients and seeing them overcome their fear of the dentist. I also like the fact that the practice is based in a small village, so patients become familiar faces over time.
Outside work, I enjoy hiking and running. I have trekked to Everest Base Camp twice, and in 2017, I ran 204 miles coast to coast from Southport to Hornsea in 99 hours. I also enjoy crafts such as knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, and peyote beading, as well as reading and studying.
